Rob and Julie Walton, Oadby, Leicester - 'Super week! Lovely week, just one problem - the week went far too fast.'

‘We’ve had a fabulous week. The cottage is so pretty/warm/comfy and decor very appealing! The welcome pack was delicious and David, Lisa and Matilda so friendly – Joe could hardly bear to be parted from his ‘best friend’ Matilda. Liking the bike/wendy house/trampoline ......! we’ve had great beach days at Alnmouth and Bamburgh, and really enjoyed the Castle there. Warkworth and the castle proved a lovely afternoon trip in the sun. Alnwick castle too, so much to see and do. We worked with the weather -  who’d have thought we’d have sunshine in August in the UK?! We enjoyed the evenings with a glass of wine, watching the sun go down over the fields! Thank you to David, Lisa and Matilda for a lovely relaxing holiday! Hope to come back soon! Xxx P.s. Remember to check the tides on Holy Island...! P.P.S Great to have a proper cot for the baby! – Thanks’. Suzie, Chris, Joe (aged 3) and Rosie (9 months). Boston Spa, West Yorks.

‘A really lovely cottage, with everything you could possibly need for an extremely comfortable stay. Thank you David, Lisa and Matilda for making us feel so welcome! We talked to Poppy for some recommendations of things to do:-

1. Play with Matilda on the trampoline

2. Play with Matilda on the swing

3. Collect eggs with Matilda

Alan and Fiona Bartlet, Hayley Island, Hampshire - 'A really good week despite 3 days fine and 3 days wet! Lovely cottage very well equipped. Even in the rain the hills and moors are beautiful especially around Elsdon, Otterburn and Bellingham. Go to Woodhorn the Mining Museum and see the Pitman Painter work and the Newbiggin Maritime Museum, both having good cafes! Vindolanda (Roman Fort and village) was good value as was Bamburgh Castle.

David and Lisa (and Matilda) have been very welcoming and helpful. Many thanks, we will be back to this area, if nothing else to drive on empty roads!'

Lizzie, Mike and Jean, Cropthorne, Evesham, Worcestershire - 'What a lovely place to spend my (Lizzie) 50th birthday week! Such a comfortable and luxurious cottage, with everything you could need. The chickens made us especially welcome.....!!!! It's only our second visit to this part of the world, and what a very special part of the UK it is. There's so much we still have to see and explore. I'm sure we'll be back (Mike particularly enjoyed the driving on the 'bouncy B road' out of Alnwick!'
